Dr Clare Thomas
Clare is part of the Implementation team and has in interest in research implementation and knowledge mobilisation, with the aim of increasing research impact and the translation of evidence into practice.
Previously she worked in the the Bristol Medical School for over 15 years on a variety of research projects, mainly based within the Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC). These projects have encompased a number of different topic areas including antenatal care, osteoporosis, depression, cardiovascular risk factors and frequent attenders in primary care. She has expertise in mixed methods research design and the conduct of randomised controlled trials and enjoys contributing to teaching. She is a qualified health psychologists and has previously worked in the NHS as an health information advisor for NHS Direct and as a trainee health psychologist at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
